Knitting and Crochet Meetup in Seattle

We’re a weekly gathering of fiber arts makers on Capitol Hill in Seattle.

We knit, crochet, spin, sew, and believe that making things is one of the best ways to build community.

Meetings are once a week on Tuesdays 6-9pm (and we also host the occasional special event)

We Believe

The most vibrant communities are built on a foundation of diverse perspectives, cultures, and backgrounds. We prioritize the creation of a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all attendees and members of the fiber community.

We celebrate growth over flawless results, and every skill level has a place here.

Exclusionary behavior of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes gatekeeping, discrimination, or harassment based on race, gender expression, sexual orientation, body type/size, immigration status, religion, age, or ability.

Skills are passed hand to hand, not just read about. We grow through hands-on practice, generous knowledge sharing, and a willingness to try, fail, and try again.

We actively welcome makers from historically marginalized communities, including BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and those with disabilities. We strive to ensure our meetings are physically and sensory-accessible, welcoming attendees of all mobility levels and neurotypes.

Land Acknowledgement

We live, work, and meet up in the Puget Sound region, on the unceded ancestral lands of the Coast Salish Peoples. We honor the land itself and its stewards, past and present.

In lieu of optional membership dues, we ask that you consider paying Real Rent to the Duwamish Tribe, whose land we occupy. You can learn more and contribute at realrentduwamish.org.

We often gather in or near Cal Anderson Park, named for Cal Anderson, the first openly LGBTQ person elected to the Washington State Legislature. We’re grateful to meet in a space that carries his legacy.
